Do you consider counting cheating or just a form of strategy?

Strategy. I mean you have to think about your moves and formulate a plan right? It would be pretty frustrating if you moved first without thinking!
Counting like they do in the movies are for really smart people and you also need more than 1 person to pull this off sucessfully.

i totally agree. its your money so you have the right to form a battle plan against the enemy, in this case, the house!
casinos will always attempt to get your money and its up to you to prevent that. playing blackjack without any form of strategy or counting method is.... poor strategy :)

i agree wholeheartedly!!! going in without a game plan is foolish. at least when you count cards or have a sane strategy you get some of your money back or a good return on your investment. remember that when you gamble, you should do everything in order to make sure that lady luck smiles on your side. :D

Walking into a casino or logging into an online casino to play without a strategy of sorts is foolish. Unless of course you're one botomless pit of money. People will always play to win. Well, smart people do! :D

My strategy - have lots of FUN! I have my share of going to casinos more than regularly all out of fun though. Weekend with girlfriends. Going out with my partner.
Anyway I agree with the above poster, it's only cheating if you are caught. Then again casino management is against this because if they tolerate it, they will lose a lot of money every night.

did you see the movie 21??? they got caught counting cards... counting cards is illegal!
