I am not familiar with online poker set up. My question is, would it be possible for you and friends to play in the same virtual table? It is fun to play poker with friends, sometimes work, time and distance is a bitch so no poker.

With online poker it might solve the problem with me and my friends meeting at least once a week if we can't actually meet at someone's house to play poker.

Depends on the poker site. Most sites I know, e.g. PokerStars, does not restrict playing on the same table with friends.

However, I think there is a software restriction imposed when playing at the same table with the same IP address. I'm not sure how the software restricts it but it must be by IP.

As long as you don't intend to cheat anyone else in the table that's ok. It is possible to do this especially if you know several people playing on the same table. One of the reasons why some software, like poster above mentions, won't allow same IP on one table.

Ever thought that some people have tried to exploit this? If you can get on the same table, you can play each other while trading card info without the other players not knowing. You have to be subtle about it since it might become too obvious that something is happening behind. Of course getting different IPs, if that is the only restriction, is easy enough.

Casinos are very exciting. A night out at a casino rolling the dice, slapping the cards and winning money can be intoxicating and fun, and in some cases, quite lucrative.
