i had a new credit card today and used it to play at an online casino. i was so excited to start playing and lo and behold, my card was declined. i called the bank and they told me they automatically decline casinos as they are considered "high risk".

WTH did I go through all that background and credit check then when they were just going to decline my freakin' card!

It's a credit card not a savings fund. The bank has the right to decline particular transactions due to the "high risk" involved. I think that is normal for them to decline.

It can be frustrating but lots of gamblers are known to be credit risks. Think about it objectively, If you were the bank would you loan lots of money to a gambler? For most of them the risks outweigh the potential income.

But there are other credit card companies man, so you needn't worry. The background check can be troublesome I know but so long as you have a good credit standing then getting approval should be no problem.

I understand your pain dude. I had the same incident like two years ago when i started playing online. I applied for a separate credit card just for playing online and got approved no problem but was declined the second I enrolled my card!!! Online casinos should just put up what cards are accepted!

Yes man ,your correct,if any problem occurs,i mean if amount is lost in his credit card without his knowledge he then ask the bank.so for security purpose they decline

Credit card companies have the right to this. Sure you're paying for the service, but it's their service in the first place. Might I suggest that you try a bigger credit card company? In my experience the small ones always bail when it comes to online gambling. :)
