This is a new poker-like game I learned lately. The obvious twist is that it's basically poker but instead of cards, dice are being used. The dice are special 6-sided dice with the Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10 and 9 instead of numbers written on the dice face. Five dice are used for this game. The rules of Poker Dice is similar to 5-card draw poker.
Needed to Play
a. 6-sided poker dice
b. Dice cup
c. Dice tray (optional)
How to Play
a. Each player throws the dice up to 3 times. He keeps the best poker hand thrown.
b. In between throws, a player can chooses to hold any of the dice, then rolling the remaining dice.
c. After the 3 throws from all players, the best hand combination wins.
- A flush or straight flush is not possible in poker dice because of the lack of suits.
- The 3 throws per player is optional. Player can chose to stop rolling on the 1st or 2nd throw.
- The dice set aside (hold) can't be re-rolled
