Hi,
I read a baccarat tip that says I should stick to banker bets when the shoe nears to the end. What is the validity of this tip? I already know much that banker bets have lower house edge versus player bets, so what's new?
Appreciate your answers.
TY,
Bob

Yes because the less the decks used the less the house edge becomes. The change in HE is not very large yet it is something any baccarat player should take advantage.

The difference in the house edge goes up by almost 0.10% in the final deck of the shoe.
Consider an 8-deck shoe baccarat. The banker bet has a 1.06% edge, while the player bet is 1.24%. That is a 0.18% difference.
Once the shoe goes down to its final deck the odds change. The house edge becomes 1.01% for banker bet, and 1.29% player bet, making it a 0.28% difference.
