Have you ever seen anyone in the movies playing Baccarat other than James Bond?

I think you see it in the background when they feature casinos in movies or on TV. But other than james bond, cant seem to recall others.

Ahhh... James Bond. He made Baccarat popular just like martinis... the shaken, not stirred kind!

The game was actually invented in Italy and then du**** the reign of Charles VIII, it was introduced in France. It's actually known as being a game of simplicity and elegance. Therefore, to maintain baccarat status as being a game for high rollers, the tables are usually placed in more secluded rooms or surrounded by velvet ropes. It adds to the appeal and explains why it's not very commonly seen in movies. Frank Sinatra, co- owner of the Sands casino at one point, actually helped to spread the popularity of baccurat in Vegas, amongst high rollers.

Today,in order to get more people playing baccarat, many casinos in the USA offer the game called mini baccarat which can be played on a regular table, like blackjack and the game has lower stakes.
