Playing baccarat by yourself

Read some baccarat tips and I didn't understand very well what it meant by "don't play baccarat alone until someone else joins in the table." I was under the impression that you can't play this game with just two players. Can someone please explain for me?

you cannot play baccarat by yourself there should be a player and a banker.think of it

I dont think you can play by yourself as baccarat is played against the banker(ie casino).... :D
